 About Us
Our group started in late 2004 and we've been getting together just about every month for a tournament sense. We started holding small cash games in late 2005 because some of the newer players wanted to get some experience before entering our monthly main events. Our game is No Limit Texas Hold-Em.
We play in the garage of Matthew Grizzle who has converted the space into a game room. Matthew stocks a full bar with just about everything you could ever want to drink. Fat Tire Amber Ale is currently on tap & the Jagermeister Machine gets a pretty good workout at every event.
Most people arrive early and registration starts at 6:00pm, by 7:00pm 20-40 of us have paid for our buy-ins. We then let our tournament director software assign seats. Card play from everyone has improved with each and every tournament. Winning one of our tournaments has become an accomplishment to make you proud and respected. Our blind structure makes our tournament more about skill and less about luck. Honesty and respect for the game and each other is always foremost. Shake each other's hand and wish em’ luck, not matter how bad the beat.
